
Belogradchik
Belogradchik is a small town in the region of Vidin, northwestern Bulgaria. It is the administrative center of the Belogradchik municipality of the same name. The population of the city as of 2009 is 5334 inhabitants, making it the second largest settlement in the region. The town is picturesquely situated in the western part of the Balkan Mountains, in the south-western foothills of the Belogradchik Gorge. Well-built and friendly, Belogradchik is among the attractive tourist sites of Bulgaria. Offers opportunities for climbing, caving and congress tourism, mountaineering, hunting and fishing, sports and astronomical observations. The motto of the city is “Eternal and Young”.
